Drying laundry without a dryer
The right airer depends on your space and how much you wash in one go.
Wall-mounted saves floor
Wall airers fold back to about 10 cm, so they work in a laundry, bathroom or balcony where floor space is tight.
Folding airers for small homes
Freestanding folding airers open when you need them and fold flat to store behind a door. Some have wheels to move them to the sun.
Big loads
For sheets and towels, choose a large airer: our 3-tier, tripod and galvanised steel models open from 1.1 to 2 m wide.
Check the load rating
Each product page lists the weight it is rated for, from 10 kg for the compact wall rack to 50 kg for the large folding airer.

A wall-mounted airer that folds flat, or a compact folding airer you can store behind a door after use.
How much washing can a clothes airer hold?
It depends on the model. Ours are rated for 10 to 50 kg; the large folding and 3-tier airers take a full load including sheets.
Can I use it outside?
Several of our airers can be used indoors and outdoors. Check the product page of the one you like.
Do wall-mounted airers need installing?
Yes. They fix to the wall, then fold out when you need them and back to about 10 cm when you do not.
