FAQ – CARLA HOME

Orders & Payment

We accept all major payment methods at checkout:

  • Shopify Payments — Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Afterpay — buy now, pay in 4 interest-free instalments
  • Shop Pay — accelerated checkout for returning customers
  • Apple Pay & Google Pay — one-tap checkout on mobile
  • PayPal — pay with your PayPal balance or linked card

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST at 10%.

Afterpay splits your total into 4 equal fortnightly payments — the first one is charged at checkout, and the remaining three over 6 weeks. There's no interest if you pay on time.

Afterpay is available on orders within their approved limits. You'll need an existing Afterpay account or can create one at checkout in minutes.

We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible at info@wilsontradingimport.com if you need to make a change.

We can modify or cancel an order before it has been dispatched. Once an order is with our fulfilment partner, we're unable to intercept it — but you can return it once it arrives under our Returns Policy.

Check your spam or junk folder first — our emails occasionally end up there. If it's not there either, contact us at info@wilsontradingimport.com with the name and email address you used at checkout, and we'll look into it right away.

Yes. Our website is hosted on Shopify, which uses industry-standard SSL encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers — we never store your full card details on our systems.

Absolutely. Simply enter the recipient's address as the shipping address at checkout. The order confirmation and invoice will be emailed to you, not included in the parcel.

If you'd like to add a gift note, leave a message in the order notes field at checkout and we'll do our best to include it.

Shipping & Delivery

Free standard shipping on orders over $79 AUD. For orders below that threshold, a flat rate of $9.95 applies. Remote areas may incur an additional surcharge, which is shown at checkout before you pay.

After a processing time of 1–3 business days, estimated delivery times are:

  • Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide (metro): 3–7 business days
  • Regional areas: 7–12 business days
  • Remote areas (NT, far north QLD, WA remote): 12–20 business days

These are estimates only. During peak periods (Black Friday, Christmas, EOFY) carriers may experience delays outside our control.

Not at the moment — we ship to Australian addresses only. We're focused on delivering the best possible experience for Australian homes first.

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and a direct link to track your parcel in real time.

If your tracking hasn't updated for more than 5 business days, contact us at info@wilsontradingimport.com and we'll investigate with the carrier on your behalf.

By placing an order you authorise the carrier to leave the parcel at your address if it's deemed safe to do so (authority to leave). If the carrier considers the location unsafe, they'll leave a card with instructions to collect from a nearby depot or arrange re-delivery.

If you have specific delivery instructions, add them in the notes field at checkout or contact us before your order is dispatched.

We're sorry to hear that. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@wilsontradingimport.com with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damage
  • Photos showing the damaged item and packaging

We'll arrange a replacement or refund promptly. We cover return shipping for damaged items — you won't be out of pocket.

Returns & Refunds

We offer a 14-day change-of-mind return window from the date you receive your order, provided the item is unused, unassembled, and in its original packaging with all accessories.

Separately — and regardless of the above — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) always apply. If a product is faulty, significantly different from its description, or unsafe, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of how long you've had it.

Email us at info@wilsontradingimport.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll respond within 2 business days with a return address and instructions.

Please don't send anything back before contacting us — returns without prior authorisation may experience delays in processing.

  • Faulty or incorrect items: we cover return shipping in full. For bulky items, we'll arrange collection at our expense.
  • Change-of-mind returns: the cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
  • Faulty items (major failure): full refund to your original payment method — your choice.
  • Change of mind: store credit issued once we receive and inspect the item. A refund to the original payment method may be offered at our discretion.

Original shipping costs are not refunded for change-of-mind returns. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of receiving the item.

The following cannot be returned for change of mind (but remain covered by consumer guarantees if faulty):

  • Products that have been assembled, installed or modified
  • Items not in original, unused and resalable condition
  • Items missing original packaging, tags or accessories
  • Hygiene-sensitive products that have been opened (e.g. mattress protectors, pillow covers)
  • Gift cards and store credit vouchers

Products

We take care to ensure all dimensions listed on product pages are accurate. Slight variations of 1–2 cm can occasionally occur between listed specifications and the physical product — this is standard across manufactured goods.

If you need to confirm exact measurements before ordering, contact us and we'll check with our team.

We work hard to make our photos as accurate as possible, but screen brightness, contrast and colour calibration vary between devices. Minor colour differences between what you see on screen and the physical product are normal and don't constitute a fault.

Our lifestyle images show products in styled home settings — surrounding props are for illustrative purposes and are not included with purchase.

All CARLA HOME products are covered by the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. These rights cannot be excluded and apply regardless of any other policy.

If a product develops a fault under normal use, contact us and we'll sort it out — repair, replacement or refund depending on the nature of the issue.

It depends on the product. Any item that requires assembly will clearly say so on the product page, along with assembly instructions. If you're unsure about a specific item, feel free to ask before ordering.

Care instructions specific to each product are included on the product page under the Specifications tab. For general guidance: natural materials like bamboo and timber benefit from occasional oiling and should be kept dry when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for fabric and colour-sensitive items.

After purchase, we'll send you a care guide specific to your product in your post-purchase email.

Most of our products are restocked regularly. If an item shows as out of stock, use the "Notify me when available" button on the product page and we'll email you the moment it's back.

If you don't see that option, contact us and we can let you know the expected restock date.

About CARLA HOME

CARLA HOME is an Australian home goods brand built around one idea: that your home should feel genuinely good to live in — not just look good in photos.

We're a team based in Manly, NSW, that spends an unreasonable amount of time searching for home products that are actually well-made, well-designed, and worth the space they take up. CARLA HOME is a brand of Wilson Trading Import Pty Ltd (ABN 51 649 718 043).

Our products are sourced internationally and imported directly — which is how we're able to offer quality that's genuinely a step up from what you'd find in a mass-market retailer, at a price that reflects the direct channel rather than layers of retail markup.

Every product goes through our selection process before it makes it to the site. We don't list something just to fill a catalogue.

Because we sell direct to you. When you buy through a marketplace or a traditional retailer, there's typically a commission of 15–25% built into the price to cover that platform's fees. When you buy from carlahome.com, that commission drops to around 3% — and we pass the difference on to you.
